Modern workplace
Supporting people and the tools they depend on, from onboarding to everyday troubleshooting.
HUMAN FIRST. TECH ALWAYS.
IT Support Engineer Manager
(AI & IT Services)
Making IT work better for people.
Building what comes next with AI.
I lead IT support engineering and help shape AI-enabled services in clinical research. My work brings together enterprise support, Microsoft 365, modern endpoints and secure infrastructure with practical automation and internal AI tools.
I enjoy untangling difficult problems, taking the repetition out of everyday work, and giving people better ways to find what they need. From a more useful self-service portal to a locally hosted AI platform, I care about making technology reliable, approachable and useful.
Outside IT, I’m usually exploring photography, cars or another computer project. That creative side carries into the guides, training and digital experiences I build, too.
THE TOOLKIT
Hands-on engineering, service leadership and a creative approach to getting things done.
Supporting people and the tools they depend on, from onboarding to everyday troubleshooting.
Device deployment, imaging, software packaging, permissions and secure remote support.
Locally hosted models, knowledge retrieval and practical workflows that reduce manual effort.
Reliable platforms, clearer operational visibility and better self-service experiences.
Turning technical detail into clear documentation, training and thoughtful visual content.
SELECTED WORK
A few of the things I’ve led, built and helped improve. Open an entry to explore.
I replaced a legacy ITSM tool with SysAid, adding tailored workflows, self-service and SysAid AI for a 400-user organisation.
I built an OpenAI-powered assistant fed by daily SOP/WI document updates, giving staff answers with citations back to their sources.
I migrated physical infrastructure onto VxRail vSphere, then led planning and delivery of the move into Azure Local.
I helped identify and resolve upgrade blockers across a 300-laptop estate without needing physical access to the devices.
I built GPU-backed AI servers and internal assistants, connecting local models, vector databases and knowledge retrieval to tools staff can use.
I managed VMware Horizon environments and planned and delivered migration to Azure Virtual Desktop for secure, scalable remote working.
I lead a team of engineers and manage day-to-day support operations, while developing automation, service workflows and documentation that reduce repetitive work and help people get the support they need.
